It's All Over!

But what a fantastic weekend! From my own perspective, the build-up for me involved putting the website together and making badges and stuff, and then I was catapulted into the festival frenzy over this weekend, helping Nick Stubbs in the King Billy's Acoustic Lounge with the stage and the compering, and also performing there (ably assisted by Nick Stubbs on sax!).as well as other venues.

Everyone has a different perspective, from Organisers to volunteers to bands to people who came specifically to watch the music or just chill out.

It would be great if you would share your experiences, favourite band, or any other feedback you want to give us on the 2009 Cottingham Springboard Festival (obviously you can also give feedback  to the relevant Venue Organiser) on the Springboard 2009 section of the Green Man Music online forum here:

... But There's Plenty Still Going On!

Meanwhile, the Springboard Venue Organisers just don't stop! Springboard Monthly runs an acoustic night on the third Friday of the Month at the King Billy, hosted by Dennis Caruana & compered by Ukulele BillAcoustic Underground runs each Sunday night at the King Billy, hosted by Ian Kennington & Compered by Ukulele Bill; Face The Music runs an Open Mic at the Blue Bell venue  each Wednesday night, hosted/compered on alternate weeks by Frank Johnson and Bobby JoyceMusic HQ runs an acoustic night alternate Fridays at the Hallgate Tavern hosted by Darren Bunting who also organises a number of live music evenings in  Hull; Africa Studios runs a Tuesday evening open mic at Durty Nelly's hosted by David Elf; Tuesday @ The Tap runs an acoustic evening followed by open mic each Tuesday at the Tap in Hull, hosted by Neil Kirton; Off The Road is a monthly orginal music night at Hull's Adelphi Club hosted by Jayney Wright; and over in Hornsea acoustic and open mic nights at the Vic are run by Nick Stubbs.

The people above have all been involved with the Springboard festival and you can find links to their sites on my top friends list. However if  you run a music night, feel free to post it below as a comment. We'd hate all the Springboard fans to suddenly have music withdrawal after such an intense weekend!

Thank you for your support of this great festival .... already looking forward to Springboard 2010!

He's ace, did you draw him? We should adopt him as a festival mascot!
