Jesseca White is a new name on the music scene. Currently unsigned Jesseca’s musical influences include Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and Heidi Newfield. Jesseca covers the Miranda Lambert song “Gunpowder and Lead” wonderfully.This is a rousing song full of power and passion and Jesseca carries this off perfectly. Jesseca has made the song her own by using less obtrusive instrumentation, which allows her own vocals to shine and that they most certainly do. Jesseca’s vocals are not as harsh as Miranda Lambert’s but they still pack a real punch and get across the message conveyed in the lyrics of the song. Jesseca’s vocals remind me a lot of Martina McBride’s – they share the same refreshing edge. I think Jesseca would suit a rousing blues infused country number or a heartfelt passion filled ballad with undertones rocky. I look forward to hearing a lot more from this talented and very impressive individual. ~ Sara Hunt
