OK, this isn't directly related to my music, but I'm still posting it here to boost my ego ;).

 If you're a reader of The Wire, you'll probably know they had a big feature on the "unofficial channels" of music two months back, including cassette culture, bootlegs, sharity blogs, and a really bad, pissy article by Clive Bell on free music (free as in beer, not jazz). Well, as a maker of free music, I felt inclined to get pissy myself and write a letter to the magazine expressing my dislike for Bells. terrible misrepresentation of the free music "movement" (if it exists). It's certainly not the best thing I ever wrote, but it's fairly decent and I think (hope) it brings across the point rather well.
