It is August 2008....

I am sitting in my apartment in Inwood, at the tippy top of Manhattan Island....I am loving NY...I am grateful to be here....my life sometimes seems random and crazy, but I love it!

It's been awhile since I updated my myspace page, so I did a couple things tonight....I used to live on my page, always tweaking things and sending requests and messages....been spending less time on here, but still definitely on my grind.

My main activities:

1. to make some $$, I am working for Little Maestros, a music program for babies, 0-5 years old. It's basically a 4-piece band that performs a 45 minute set for the kids...skill-building activities, bubbles, a puppet show, cover songs...I mean it's for babies and its expensive, so it's a lot of rich white kids, but it's still amazing to be able to play keyboard and sing for my day job...and really, babies are so amazing, you can see their purity, their joy and wonder...I really love them

2. Writing music, performing at local venues every month or so, networking, meeting other artists & producers, collaborations...

3. Dancing at Broadway Dance Center--taking amazing classes...vibing, finding inspiration, hip hop, street jazz, waving...finding myself in the mirror and "getting into me"

Making friends, taking walks, going out, listening to music, dancing on subway platforms, walking down the street like I'm in a music video...smiling...making others smile....laughing...being silly...meeting people who are inspired, passioniate, working hard...

I also want to travel so badly, can't wait to be touring the world!

But for now, NY, I love you...my heart beats for you....steady on the grind...
