Peter, my other half, has spent the last 6 months restoring a beautiful Mercedes to its former glory. Tomorrow they set off on an epic adventure, driving from Bognor Regis, West Sussex to Dover, through Belgium and Germany (where they’ve been invited to visit the Mercedes factory and museum). Continuing over the Alps into Italy they’ll drive down to Apulia and catch the ferry to Greece and on to Turkey finally arriving in Istanbul where Europe meets Asia as they cross the River Bosphorus (fingers crossed!).
