If tuition were to increase what would you give up?

If tuition were to rise, I would have to give up my gym membership and also
find a part time job. Working another job would mean that I would be giving
up my spare time, as well as time I have to study and do homework.

If tuition increases I would have to give up my trips to the Rio Grande Valley and Mexico to visit my family and friends. Christmas is going to be only holiday that I’m going to celebrate with them if tuition increases.

I am not sure what I will do if tuition increases again. With all of the layoffs going on in the area plus the destruction from Ike I am not sure this is a good time for the university to consider tuition rate increases.

It’s not so much what I will have to give up but what more I will need to do. Right now my schedule is very tight and if tuition is increased I will need to work that much more to pay for it.

I am graduating May 2009, and if tuition increases it wouldn't be until Fall 2009. That would not effect me unless I decide to go for my masters. If I decide to go for my masters, I would not be getting help from my parents anymore and the cost would be coming out of my pockets. Higher tuition would definitely effect the amount of classes I would take and how often I go out to eat or grab a drink with friends. I get the feeling I would have to live off ramen noodles and mac and cheese. Meaning, if tuition increases I may have to give up good food and late nights with friends at the bar in order to stay in school.

If tuition increases again I wouldn’t have to give up anything because my school is already paid for by the Texas Tomorrow Fund. Thanks Mom and Dad!

If tuition prices increased I would have to give up any driving other than to campus and work. I would have to give up my cellphone and pretty much everything as I barely make it as is trying to balance everything

If tuition increases again, I would not have to give up anything. I would still have to fuel my car to get to class, buy the necessary books and everything else, it would just be more expensive. Before UHCL I attended a much larger university and was used to paying for more. In paying for more, we in turn would get perhaps more amenities or services for the school so it is nothing I’m opposed to.

If tuition increases again, I think I am going to have to give up school. That is the bottom line.

If the tuition increases again, I would have to cut down on my Starbucks coffee and eating out at fancy restaurants from every day to may be a day or two in a week.

Tuition and fee increases would motiviate me to cut down on my dining expenses.
