Learn to not just take pictures but make them.

This course will teach you the artistic beauty of Photoshop, MySpace and Illistrator. Come learn about whitespace, focal images and balance. By the end, not only will you will be making professionally looking posters but you will have begun to learn the primary foundation for a career in graphic design.

• The Rocketown Zine (4:30-6 p.m.)

Do you have a voice waiting to be heard? Rocketown Zine is created, edited and published completely by students.

Teens will be able to interview local and mainstream bands, write in-depth news and feature stories and express their passionate views on music, entertainment, politics and more. The magazine works as a voice for the youth while teaching writing and journalism techniques.

This is a community discussion group, led by a listened counselor, to talk about the issues facing teens.

Topics to be discussed include:

Self-Esteem
Anger Management
Bullying
Time Management
Stress Management
Nutrition

Parents Just Don't Understand

• BBoys Breakdancing (7-9 p.m.)

Come learn the 1970's inspired South Bronx dance style that fuses funk, hip-hop and prolonged breaks.

We will teach you a display of power moves, top and downrocks and climactic freezes and suicides. Ultimately, however, you will learn to define yourself through your own style in this generally unstructured and highly improvisational dance.
