Bible Study (Tuesday 6-7)

Meets every other Tuesday. Next meeting: Oct 7

Do you have questions on God, the Bible or Jesus? Come to Rocketown's open discussion on faith.

This group is meant to be a dialogue. An opportunity for everyone to share their story. There is no preaching. No judgment. Just individuals seeking God.

Girls Group (Next meeting: Oct 14)

Meets every other Tuesday

Think getting coffee, picnics in the park, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and then talking about it. It is about making connections, being honest and listening to each other.

You know girls doing girlie stuff.

Skate Church (Tuesdays 7-9)

We skate, talk a little Bible, play some games and skate some more.

Everything is free.

Enough said. Get to church bro'.

Book Club (Thursdays 4-5)

First Book: We are starting with Vampires!
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer will be our first book.

Club Description: Are you a closet reader? Do you sit under your covers, late at night, because you can't can't stop reading Steainbeck, Sallinger, Kerouak ? Or maybe you prefer the company of more modern marvels: Meyer, Rowling or Paolini.

It's okay. Reading is not just for the Estels, Mabels and Junes anymore.

Come join Rocketown's Reading support group. Your addiction will be fed, you will find others just like you and you will read, discuss and READ some more!

Plus you might be blessed with Audra Davis' scrumptious and delectable baked goods. She really is a great baker, you know?!

Run Club (Thursdays 5-6)

We run because running is what we do.

Meet at Rocketown dressed and ready. We will run downtown and throughout the city. This is open to anyone willing to sweat. Hardcore runners, joggers, speed walkers, toddlers learning to walk—everyone.

As the year goes on we might choose to meet at Centennial Park or other locations throughout the city.

Recycling Club (Mondays 5-6)

Tired of seeing the world destroyed? Or maybe you just want to save the whales? Either way, join Rocketown Recycles foo'!

This isn't some wussy Captain Planet, stick your Coke in a box, Recyclying Club. We are going to get dirty, make a difference and recycle some serious junk. Each week we will gather paper, plastic and other unmentionables from roughly 1300 individuals at Rocketown.

The impact will be immeasurable.

This club will also include monthly classes and speakers on how to be more environmentally friendly.

Connect (Wednesdays 5-7)

Do you like to watch stuff?

Come find community and watch movies, documentaries, political debates, TV shows. kick ace commercials… and whatever else we choose. And then stick around afterwards and talk about the deeper meaning, themes and propaganda seen within each.

College Prep (Tuesdays 3:00-4:00)

College is looming, do you know where you are going, what you are going to study, how you are going to pay for it … and what you are going to do with your life?

Well, maybe it is time to figure it out. Come join us weekly as we will work on college essays, applications, search out scholarships and examine the differences between local and national colleges and universities.
