OK it's like this.....

We're playing our first central London gig in a long time to celebrate our
debut album "Six Against Eight" which will be out sometime in October on dctone records.

And it's going to be a real "happening" so we want YOU! to come along and share with us this special night.

You can't miss this one. Seriously.

The gig takes place SAT SEPTEMBER 26, 2009 @ London's busiest and most cool-some, swinging night out, CROSSFIRE 14.

The show is being held at 229 The Venue, Great Portland Street, London, WC1W 5PN opposite the Gt. Portland Street tube station and Regent's Park.

We will play a groovy one-hour long show sometime after 9.30pm with an enlarged line up and featuring a number of special guests, some of whom will be flying in from Europe.

Our wonderful producer Donald Ross Skinner will join us on stage along with some of the other musicians who appear on the album.

(But not the orchestra! There's just not enough room!)

It will be a sensory stimulating & hip-shakin' show....all "art & soul."

After the gig ends there is an all-nighter with three rooms of truly brilliant musical delights.

In Room 1 (where we are playing)  there is a rare soul / northern soul (call it what you will) extravaganza with a phenomenal collection of DJ talent including:

♦ Russ Stanley (Wigan Casino)
♦ Ady Croasdell (100 Club, London, Ace Records etc)
♦ Brian "The Original" Rae
♦ Val Palmer (100 Club etc)
♦ Dave Greet

This room is a 600-capacity  ballroom with a huge wooden dancefloor (and an all-night bar!).

Room 2 sees some classy 60s club soul, boogaloo, R&B and ska with another fantastic DJ line-up including:

♦ Rob Bailey (New Untouchables)
♦ Roger Banks (R&B Records, Cleethorpes etc)
♦ Alan Handscombe (Capitol Soul Club)
♦ Pete Tebbutt (Talk Of The South)
♦ Jim Cox (Reggae Train)
♦ Joe Dutton (Backbeat)

In Room 3 the music diet is mind-melting with a cracking selection of the primest 60s garage, freakbeat and psychedelia on the planet with another top line up of DJs including:

♦ Miguel Ygaza (Mushroom Machine, Spain)
♦ Stephan Golowka (Up Club, Germany)
♦ Dr. Robert (Le Beat Bespoke)
♦ Coffin Joe (The Horrors)
♦ Scott C (Lava Lounge)
♦ Speed (Circle Records)

Now don't you dare go tellin' me this isn't ONE hell of a "happening"... it really is an unmissable event!

Tickets for this amazing show cost a mere £12 (or £8 for those of you with NUS or ES40 cards).

If you want any tickets be sure to drop us a line at
mark@jazfish.co.uk and we will tell you how the devil you can buy 'em.

We'd love you to share this night with us.

As for the album itself...well it is currently being mixed and will be ready for release as a CD or digital downloads on the net in October.

Donald's brother Gavin (who played with the pre-Screamadelica Primal Scream & Marianne Faithful) is mixing half the tunes with our Brummie friend G Corp (formerly known as both Electribe 101 & The Groove Corporation) are mixing the other half.

We are thrilled with the results and it's exciting to hear the album taking great shape.

There are also plans for a special collector's edition VINYL version of the album a few months later with alternative versions of our songs sung in French and Italian plus some unreleased bonus tracks.

Over.
