Interviewed by Noisecreep, Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven announced that the band will suspend the activities live at the end of the planned tour in North America. The band will continue to work away from the stage with the promise of interesting surprises. "We started touring and haven't stopped. We did Japan and Australia, then the U.S. Then we did an extensive of the Nordic countries and had a few weeks off and then went right into festival season, which ran from May through September". "We've been off for a week and we're going back on tour for a month. November is off, with only one show, so it'll be quiet. Christmas will be it for quite some time. It'll take something special for us to go out in 2010. We need a break, since we've been going for a long time. We feel motivated to do a full headline tour of the States right now." Satyr finally expressed appreciation for what has been done by Toxic Holocaust, a band that has impressed the artist. "The one band I am unfamiliar with, but who sounded interesting from the few songs I heard, is Toxic Holocaust. They are doing the first half of the tour. Once I heard a few songs, I sent an email to my booking agent, asking, 'Why can't they be on the entire tour?' That's how much I liked it." Well I hope not, I am about to book ticket for December.:)
Satyricon have been one of the most active bands out there this past year, so they should certainly take a break, or we would worry about them!
Most certainly hoping to see Frost upclose this December.

Satyricon is by far the best and most fitting band for Toxic Holocaust that I have seen them tour with. It's an old style sorely needed here in the states that they bring. Some tours they have been on I have questioned, but nonetheless, I do believe strongly that they deserve the recognition. It's good to see other like minded musicians are recognizing the raw nature of what Toxic Holocaust has brought back to Metal.

Well looking forward to 2011 then and a hopeful 2010 "surprises" from SATYRICON: you guys/Frost & Satyr work your sweet buns off didn't you...'I saw that heavy groovin' USA Tour 2009 "Age of Nero" Concert engagements and even though I couldn't be there when you came to my neck of woods/I was there in "Spirit" and next time around hopefully not so much in Spirit but in "person" so I can see & meet you guys/Satyr & Frost and rest of SATYRICON in "real" life!!! You guys put out a awesome new treasuare Music-works with "Age of Nero & the Now Diabolical" etc.,. both are favorites but the song "A New Enemy" is a masterpice/most favorite. I like that one alot! So, get your much needed "rest" from all that Tour journeys SATYRICON does and you bet I look forward to your new album & Tour 2011! Peace, Godbless and much respects.your fan, Sharon

I met Frost when Satyricon came to San Antonio earlier this month and I asked him about this. He said they will be writing during this time. I asked if he would be doing anything with 1349 during this time and he said yes.  Yay!! :)
