I remember hearing the news a few days back and I was shocked. He was so young and I don't think anybody expected it. He seemed like a really cool person, he's jamming with Hendrix now though.

The people who posted before me don't lie, Mike WILL be remembered. He played a big part in returning the all powerful thrash metal back to the world. And it did it with flair. R.I.P Mike. At least we can know that he had a purpose in life. He not only returned thrash metal, but he inspired many people. Such as my band. Our bassist was strongly influenced by the New Wave of Thrash bands, and Evile was his favorite.

God bless you....

Being an infrequent internet user, and word of mouth being very slow nowadays, it was a great shock to learn about Mike's terrible passing, only finding out last night.

Mike was a great bloke, who I remember coming along to some Asmodia gigs to see us from time to time. It was a great experience to share the stage with Evile and Exodus the other year. And it was great to see Evile play at a Bloodstock 08, after following the band and coming to see you since the Metallica tribute days! (back in around 2004).

You'll be sadly missed Mike. Thoughts with you all at this time.

Tom

been lovin your music from afar for a while now...just came by for one of my regular visits.
I'm so sorry for your lose fellas.
Those who haven't been in a band before may not be able to grasp just how close band mates can become.  For me it is one of the strongest bonds there is.
Death can not break it.
Stay strong.
RIP Mike...your music will live on.
strength and love to family and friends.

l still can't believe this happened. Mike still had a lot to give to the music world, and it's hard to accept he is no longer around... physically. His spirit and enthusiasm lives through his music, so that's why he will be truly missed, yet never forgotten. Thanks Mike for all the great times, hope you're hanging out and jamming with Chuck, Dimebag, David Wayne, Midnight, Ingo, Criss Oliva, and so many others who left before us...

I know I only met yous lot once but I cired when I heard.  I felt so heart broken that a phenomenally talented player had been taken. And yous lot were so down to earth and lovely and I couldn't have wished for a better band to interview! Honestly. I am gutted he's passed. Your press agent offered me a chance to come down and re-interview yous lot for a second time at London and I stupidly passed on this opertunity due to yous coming up here. I am really, truelly honestly kicking myself. This must be a hard time for you, I totally understand as I lost my gran a couple of months ago. It's tough but I know yous will slowly pick up the pieces an keep the music alive in your hearts because Mike would want you to. He will always be in my thoughts and my heart. Please, give my regard to his family at such a hard time. Although I know, no words can really ease the pain. And to yous lovely guys. I am so, so very sorry for your loss but please. Don't give up. Pick up the pieces and keep thrashin..
With love
Stephy
R.I.P Mike.
Truelly a loss felt by all.

We feel for you, take all the time that you need. Things like this... tragedies, never are easy to understand. One of the worst things Metallica did was never give themselves time to grieve, and that lead to mass hazing of their next band member and a chain of damaging events that almost destroyed their relationships with each other forever.
