"Monster-Sized Monsters is:
Emily Galash, Hannah Armstrong and Calum Barrick.
They have a cool sound - Emily sings and plays lead, Hannah plays bass and Calum skillfully and powerfully bangs the drums. Check out "Fireflies" and "Cooler Than Jesus" at  http://www.myspace.com/monstersizedmonsters Add them, go to their gigs, show em some love."

2007 (September 12) In The Willamette Week
MONSTER SIZE MONSTERS, OGOPOGO, MORAL PANIC, PUDDLETOWN PUSSIES
"[LATCHKEY PUNK] Punk's influence on young bands has had highs and lows, particularly when it was treated as a Top 40 commodity in the wake of Blink 182's 'pop punk' garbage and the ensuing rush of preppies learning power chords. But the high school-age bands on this bill- particularly Monster Size Monsters- prove that the kids are, indeed, 'alright.' Each group of young whippersnappers has the angst and feel of old-school screaming punk down pat, proving that wherever there are kids, hormones and angst, punk will always thrive."

Excerpt from article: "To MSM's benefit, the lo-fi grungy style of "Evolving to Death," from the band's self-titled full length, is a favorite of drunken rowdies in packed basements. It falls somewhere between dancey, grungy and angry, which is a wide enough scope to....."

2007 (April 18) In Sam Adam's Blog!
This is a press article that mentions Monster-Sized Monsters when we played at City Hall on April 18th, 2007. We are briefly mentioned in the begining, but the article got it wrong! It was Monster-Sized Monsters who had the mosh pit, not Hurah Hurah. Click Away!

2007 (March 27) @ Voodoo Doughnuts

"MSM LIVE @ VD 3.22.2007
When I walked into Voodoo Doughnuts, there was NO FUCKING ROOM. The band was perched up on a tiny stage that must have been 10' X 6', if that!
Packed with fans, (well as packed as VD can get with it's whole 100 square foot of floorspace) I pitied the unknowing donut fiends who happened to wander in for their late-night fix, though they were in for a treat as the band was rocking the fuck out full throttle despite their cramped quarters.
I think I witnessed, (and participated in) the first mosh pit inside Voodoo Doughnuts. FUCK YEAH!
All things said, it was a great show and I am looking foreward to playing a show with the Monsters as soon as possible!"
