greetings all.

thanks to everyone who came out to the Maps show last weekend. and thanks to
Pixgremlin for taking the snaps that you see up top.

the next show will be at Proud Galleries in Camden supporting a Mystery Jets DJ set (whatever that means) on March 13th. we have an unlimited £5 list and it's doubling as Sarah's 21st birthday party. So you should totally be there.

/////////////////////

in other news, Akira have donated a track to Twestival.

it's for a hella cool water charity and is linked to the new hella cool way to fritter away precious time. we speak, of course about Twitter. Gbenga's on there. Hit him up.

our track is an old-ish one called 'Atom'. it's no. 214. download it and make a donation.

Toby Anstis was talking about Twitter on his Heart radio show, so we guess it's gone overground.

as an aside, Gbenga has spent the last two weeks at his fun temp job thinking that Toby Anstis was actually Andi Peters.

as a further aside... it would appear that more things have changed since the CBBC days than him being openly gay.

Phwoar.

In further other news, Akira will be ARTIST OF THE WEEK on Radio Nowhere's Christopher Laird show this week.

We join a distinguished alum list that includes Tim Ten Yen, Asobi Seksu, Absentee, Operator Please, Slow Club, Sons and Daughters and some band that we are convinced features James Iha. See for yourselves!

What this means in practice is that Christopher Laird will be making sweet love to us on the digital radiowaves all over his show tomorrow at 9pm.

Listen here: www.radionowhere.org

You'll be able to listen again too. We'll send a link out when we've got it.

...AND FINALLY!

We're very close to completing work on a new Akira single. But there are still a few physical copies of Japanese Frequencies kicking about. And, of course, MP3s are the Endless.

Which is a roundabout way of saying that if you would be so kind as to drop any of these radio guys a line and ask them to play a track, we'd be all over you like the snow.
