I am so, so sad to see summer going away already. I absolutely live for the blessed shine of the glorious sun and its waves of warm, honeyed vitamin D. Poolside, beer in hand, BBQ behind me melting the fat from a salt rubbed chop. Even my extra ten pounds look better latte brown.(Not that I ever get any darker than a yellowed marshmallow,.. but close enough.) There are concerts in parks across the land. "Frisbee elbow" ..rears its ugly head in the emergency rooms of fairer climates across the land. Parties are abundant and beer tastes 43.8% percent better than it does in the winter. In Sacramento, as temperatures soar into triple digits, clothing becomes practically optional. Anything is possible. Spotting the goth kids melting in the sun during their brief moments outside becomes a sport. Okay, so most of the movies coming out during the summer suck, but the AC in the theatre makes almost anything enjoyable. Need I mention how deliciously slippery the hot, sweaty sex becomes during these months.(unless you're too drained by the heat to even move--which is where the alcohol comes in.)
Restaurant patios are overflowing in the evenings and tattooed hipsters roll phat beach cruisers.. through the  midtown streets.
Don't go away summer!! Stay, stay, stay!!
