                          The Impressionalist
This is the first blog of the 09 for me and I decided to entitle it The Impressionalist for a reason.  It was almost called the Get Wits, pointing out all of the ways I see people act in the District.  I was in Pure last night, Monday, February 2, 2009 and at first I was excited just to be out amongs some of D.C.'s Finest and most of them were young bucks that have no idea of what it is to be from D.C. even though they have been here all of their lives.  Maybe it's not their fault for it's not the same place it was before, and I dont really want to upset anyone but I really dont care if I do cause I'm a MOBSTER, so it dont matter to me what they may think so here it is...  This is D.C.  the most political city ever, the home of the Wizards, Capitals, Redskins, Nationals, the Monument, Capitol, White House, and the new first Black President Obama!!
This is the place where not only laws are made, broken and knocked down but also the place where  most trends are set.  So the question I ask is where the hell are we now?  Being at the Pure last night was fun although I kinda forgot that I was on 14th & U streets NW.  When I walked in there, was a guy onstage freestyling and I cant remember his name but I though he was from NYC by the way that he was flowing and he was tight so Im not taking that away from him, but I though I was in New York.  What I can say about last night is that there were a whole lot of good talent in the house, and only two folks reminded me that we were in DC.  One guy was from 14 St. NW, cant remember his name but the verses from the Quaran he was spitting in the hooks stood out and Im not muslim.  It was vintage D.C. and I needed that to convince me that I was in DC, and then to even it all out, no matter how many Impressionalist hit the stage, XO interupted the events to allow my man Tokes Eastwood to spit just a verse and he did it accapella.  Man it was just what I needed.  He definately made me feel like I was at home and it was great.  Just to let a lotta of yall know, I have been here, for a long time, so if you dont know me I have to question who you are.  I only say that so validate what Im about to say next.  This is D.C.  sure its ok to "LEAN WIT IT AND ROCK WIT IT"  but It aint ours, so to do it like its ours is some get wit ass shit you know!  And the dudes talking bout what they got while wearing the Nikes with all the strings just hanging out of the shoes, like they in NY, some had actually colored on their shoes with crayons!!! lol  man it was funny.  So not DC we dont bam out we glam out!! WELCOME To DC You Get WIt Ass NIGGAS!!!  WE SET TRENDS, WE DONT FOLLOW!!
Dont be fooled, there is a reason why the industry wont let us in.  They have known about our reputation since the 80's.  We are not known to be the takers of orders, instead we give them.  We do the dictating and are not to be dictated to, you feel me?  There fore work to put the city back where we belong and if you live in the suburbs, do you but dont come out here rapping about how hard you are, you would get clipped in a second.  Lets just get back to how we do it in D.C., and to those who wanna question where Im from and where I grew up at, just to tell you, in most of the roughest hoods in the District, so I know what im talking about.  I dont wanna hurt nobody's feelings about it.  I just want to get it back like it was.       Holla
Ps any problems Holla!
