Dear
friends,
During the
well needed summer we finally got a chance to reflect about the band and what’s
most important to us. We also decided that some changes needed to be done for
us to be able to continue on the right path with the band and our music. Amy’s
Ashes is all about fans and music and that’s why some things must change.
Amy’s Ashes
has decided to part ways with their vocalist Aram. Due to some major changes in
Aram’s personal life, he strongly believes that his lack of time and focus would
interfere with our goals and that this would “hold the band back”. This is a
mutual decision between Aram and the rest of the band and there’s absolutely no
reason to speculate about conflicts or any other reasons. We respect Aram’s
decision and we wish him best of luck. Due to similar reasons we have also decided
to part ways with the bass player Gus. A new bass player is already found and
will be presented soon.
Neither
Aram nor Gus has been significantly involved in the creative process of song
writing and their absence will not interfere with our sound. The core two guys
will continue with a NEW lineup, and that’s basically all we can say for now.
The
auditions for a new singer are taking place as we speak and we can assure you
that there’s a lot of talent out there. Just have a little patience.
And finally,
“The Game”, our latest tune, will be uploaded later this week here on MySpace. So
check back in and feel free to share your thoughts with us!
LOVE AND
RESPECT,
Aliz &
Eric
