Not exactly.
I've been meaning to put up something on the blog about this for quite some time, but frankly, I find writing about the band about as exciting as doing my taxes.Nevertheless, I have written out a whole long thing about this matter and will type it up just as soon as I am satisfied that it says what I want it to say. Soon. To address the rumours real quick: No, I'm not dead, methed out or working at Burger KIng--though if I was, I'd almost certainly lie about it.

 P.S. This is the very last time I'll ever bring this up, swear to god. I've kept teasing a Cows reunion only because nostalgia completely mystifies me. Cows doing a reunion would be against every thing we... "stood for". Cows doing nostalgia would be like watching an old lion fetching a stick-- sad and undignified. The boys hangin' and learnin the old tunes?? Right, when bin Laden converts to Judaism. That's that.

I don't know anyone who wouldn't watch an old lion fetch a stick if given the chance. But you're right, longing for a Cows reunion is like reminiscing about 80's porn while you're trying to crank one off. It might get you there but afterwards you realize you were spanking it to someone's grandma and feel slightly tainted afterwards.

You can't blame us for wanting a Cows reunion...you guys were the ones who always kicked ass. If you had just gone ahead and sucked like most everyone else we wouldn't care. But nooo, you had to go and be awesome.

But yes, nostalgia for nostalgia's sake is pretty sappy.

That has to be the stupidest comment EVER!!  I thought Cows stood for being a gang who travelled in a van, aurally and visually assaulting their audiences with heavy, challenging rock, and getting paid at least enough to avoid day jobs as much as possible.  

Shit! Cows is probably one of the only AmRep bands who could get a decent pay day by playing a set of reunion dates.  Heck, you could even make another record, and it wouldn't have to be about nostalgia.  It could be about doing it for whatever you stood for, just in a subsequent decade.

But, its clear the way you are doing it now is just much better for everyone.  Glad you figured it all out, SMART GUY.

Wow, I haven't thought about the cows in at least 15 years. Got to see some killer shows in Athens in the early 90s.....even blew off that awesome dishwashing job to go see em in hotlanta. I guess I missed out on the heroine shieks altogether. Are yall still touring?
