Thank you thank you thank you. The apologists are already at work trying to play it down, or at least trying to say it wasn't "a race thing." I couldn't agree with you more - I am so tired with Bush's attitude of smirking and talking down to people, I will not take another 8 years of it from McCain. If he will do it to a follow Senator and face to face with someone on camera during a debate (the "you probably never heard of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac" comment) you know it will continue.


How many more apologies do we have to accept for McCain? He pimps women with his VP nomination. And gets the woman to do the dirty attack work so if Dems fight back they can say how dare we pick on a woman or someone from a small town. And yet Palin can run around hate mongering (as does he) and slinging accusations. It is all the more repugnant in a year where the candidates are near polar opposites on the issues. Why not let the issues decide? Because they know they will lose. Obama is clearly the better candidate. My 73 year old father says he feels about Obama as he has not felt about a candidate since Kennedy. And he doesn't say shit like that.
