HEROES, FRIENDS AND
OTHER TROUBLED SOULS
BILLY DON BURNS

If the High Court of Honky Tonk Heaven is currently in session, then they have definitely turned an ear to Billy Don Burns’ latest effort entitled, "Heroes, Friends and Other Troubled Souls."
And why not?
Billy Don Burns has created a collection of tunes that visit "Patsy", "Haggard and Hank" and "Keith Whitley Blue." All that is missing is a song for his old buddy, Johnny Paycheck.
Billy Don Burns has been goin’ at this crazy music thing for over 30 years and along the way he has bumped into a-many "Heroes, Friends and Other Troubled Souls."
So, the way he figures it…why not write an album about the journey.
Burns’ journey has been one of an outlaw that has continuously done it his way, which probably explains why the mood and tone of "Heroes, Friends and Other Troubled Souls" is one that sounds like it brushed against Waylon Jennings soul.
This album sings of loves lost, of visits to the "Dark Side of the Spoon" and of strength that Billy Don Burns has shown throughout his career.
If Texas Outlaw is your thing, then this outlaw that has a love for Arkansas has a story for you.
The outlaw’s name? …Billy Don Burns.
