The Wyoming Library's closed today so I'm at the Hoyt in Kingston.  In Wyoming, we're technically not allowed to use Myspace so  I have to cheat.  Here it's allowed so I'm taking advantage.   Nothing much is going on over here.  St. Anthony of Padua Church, over in Exeter, is having its annual Family Feast starting tonight.   Knowing me, I'll most probably show up at least for a while tomorrow night. fourth of july in hilldale, pa. Unlike O.L.P.H. & St. John the Baptist in N.Y.   I really don't  know anybody around here.   For that reason, the feasts aren't all that interesting for me.  They are, however, equally fattening & expensive.   I can never come up with the nerve to get a brewski or drink because they're more than a few miles away & I always seem to end up showing up alone.   Last night there was a major electrical storm.  We needed a break in the heat & that usually just about does it.     Yesterday, as usual, I spent a lot of time reading those Carmelite books & playing my guitar.    My guitar, as always sounds pathetic because I've never been even the least bit good at tuning it.    At least I'm constantly practicing though & that's all that really matters.    Tomorrow I have to make sure I go over to Wilkes_Barre for the Carmelite meeting at the Little Flower Manor. It's on South Mead Street.    It will be our very first meeting since Mary Ann's death.    As far as I know, Uncle Frankie never showed up yesterday.  Maybe he did & I just never noticed.    Danny sent out a couple of notices asking one & all to fork over all the Fourth of July pictures they may have available.  Of course, to my undying chagrin, I'm most heartily hoping nobody pays any attention to the ones people took of me.   My appearance is shall we say? less than flattering.    Oddly, I'm not even in the gang thang picture.

The Carmelites are a religious order. I'll bet you've heard of the Jesuits. They're similar. I'm sort of a member. It's nowhere near as bad as you seem to think.
