Hello All!
Malachi has returned to the land of broken promises with some great stories and some good tattoos. We all had the best time in Europe. For us it was a life changing and life affirming trip and I for one am extremely depressed to be back to my boring life. Shouts out to Ellie and Marek and Timo for making tour so much better that what the band alone was capable of. Thanks for everyone who came to our shows, bought some merch, or just said hi to us. Extra special thanks to everyone who put us up and made us food. There was not one bad meal on this trip and some of them are up there with the best ever. Thanks to Jason Ellis for taking us AND picking us up in Chicago, (this kind of can do attitude and selflessness is something to which I aspire.) Thanks for Cory and Dave for putting our record out and busting their asses to get everything ready for us, we are in your debt. Thanks to Nicholas Lampert for coming along and making noise at some of the show, (sorry you got sick.) Thanks to everyone for coming to the New Years show and the basement show with Protestant and The Butts (thanks Dave for setting this up.) Thanks you to everyone else we forgot.
As for the future... Robert still lives in San Francisco and rumor has it that other Malachites may follow suit, for various reasons, in the near future. So it is anyones guess as to what might happen. We would like to do another tour in the summer, maybe west coast, and we would like to make it back to Europe again. This is all up in the air so just check our page for updates.
The colab with Bastard Noise is done. Sorry we did not have these on tour but it just was not in the cards. We should be getting them in the near future and they will most likely be available through Halo of Flies via Cory. Word has it that a vinyl version might also be released. We will keep you updated on this as well when and if it happens.
There may be another split in our future as well but we will have to see.
Once again thanks to everyone! We are so glad to have met so many amazing individuals and to have had our lives altered by those interactions.
Until next time! Malachi
