Hi,

It's been a little while since we have posted any news or what not,
trust me when I say we have not been slacking, it's quite the contrary.

ANDY NEWS:
Andy has had knee surgery to remove the big piece of bone that chipped off inside of his knee. No, he didn't save it for me like I asked but he did take some awesome photos which I have not yet seen. He is still on crutches and is having his first practice with us tonight. It's been over a month so we hope all goes well, Andy is planning on playing with us this weekend in Maine and New Hampshire so you folks should consider yourself lucky.

EP NEWS:
We are hard at work on our new EP, we are pretty excited to be bringing you 6 new Fairmont songs that we feel expand on the themes and musicianship of Transcendence. We are tracking some of the EP with our good friend Antonio at Hinchkraft Studios which is where the first and second Fairmont albums along with countless B sides and EP's were recorded and we will be finishing it up with Bryan Russell at his studio Red Wire Audio next month. The songs we will be recording are: I Am The Mountain, The King & Queen, The Embalmer, From High Above A City, The Best Band Ever Invented, The One and Only One. I promise you will not be disappointed.

ART CONTEST:
So we have gotten lots of artwork from you guys for the art contest and we have to say we are so impressed with the talented people that listen to us. MINT 400 RECORDS:
We started a record label. Basically we needed a name to release all of Fairmont's back catalog under and thought well, maybe there are some other awesome bands out there that have a huge back catalog too and don't know where to go with it. So currently we are talking to a bunch of bands and helping them get world wide digital distribution under the umbrella of Mint 400 Records. So far the amazing Theodore Grimm is the first band we are helping out and all of their material is available at your fav. online vendor and as well we are talking with a bunch of other really cool people. TOURING:
We're looking at doing a few different tours later this year, we don't have details yet but can tell you that in August we are going to try to hit the midwest and northeast yet again, and later in the year finally play some UK dates. We'll let you know details when we do. All of this will be in support of Transcendence and our new EP tentatively titled "The Meadow At Dusk"


DOCUMENTARY:
We're toying with the idea of doing documentary with a film-maker friend of ours, hopefully we'll be shooting at many of our upcoming shows, we'll keep you in the loop...
