We just got back from Washington DC, where we were lobbying on behalf of low power FM.  We met with staffers from Senator Durbin's office as well as Representatives Schakowsky's and Guitierrez's offices.  We also had meetings with FCC staff and with the White House!  Everyone seemed quite receptive to our message.  CHIRP was chosen to lead the discussion in the White House meeting, which was very flattering, and we got a very positive response -- we were pleasantly surprised how well-informed they were about LPFM.

Once the bill is passed and signed into law, the FCC will be our biggest hurdle, since the country's largest urban areas will have to ask for some special conditions to allow us to apply for licenses, but we think it can be done.  We'll keep you up to date and let you know how you can help.
