I tell ya - keeping up with all these web sites is getting to be too much. But I'm grateful for the help I get - Kristine Knaus has been a trooper. Oh, and follow me on Twitter: elaine4animals
Lots going on as usual. Gonna do a quick run through...
SEPTEMBER:
This weekend I will be in the ATL for DRAGON CON. That should be a wild experience. A film I did called "Fading of the Cries" is doing some promotion there. Looking forward to being back in the South even if it is for a brief moment.
ANIMAL ACRES had to move it's gala event due to the fires. That's okay for me because I was going to be in the Atl, but now I can make it for sure. Wonderful organization! The fires out here have really done a number on many things - animals of course are greatly affected with little to no help. Breaks my heart to even think about it.
The annual event I do for breast cancer got moved from June to September. WHAT A PAIR is in its 7th year!!! This year I am paired with Sharon Lawrence. That should be fun. New location too - Santa Monica.
OCTOBER:
Kicking off the month is a night of LEGENDARY BINGO on the 4th. Benefitting my favorite beings - animals! Pause 4 Pause (a campaign I've started with Seattle's very own Cassie Miggins, In defense of Animals, and the Pet Care Foundation. Chances are some of the proceeds will also be going toward animals and orgs affected by the fires.
Then from the 8-11 I will be in TN because the short film I wrote/produced/directed & starred in premieres at the SECRET CITY FILM FESTIVAL. Hometown girl goes...home. Looking very forward to that.
That's all for now. All kinds of odd & ends amidst all that, but those are the broad strokes. The National Animal Rights Conference where I was given the Guardian Award was beautiful, and I have since been voted on to the Board of Directors for In Defense of Animals. I feel like such a grown up.
Hope all is well with all of ya'll. More soon.
Peace & prettiness, Elaine
