Read what people are saying about my stories:

"Im not too fond of stories written in the second person, but you shouldnt hold that against Luke Jacksons No Pets. The perspective from which its written means that you dont get much physical description but the experiences of familial feelings and of prejudice comes through and we are given an interesting insight into another, strangely familiar, culture." -- From scifi.uk.com

By Bill Bowler:

"War Thrash - A+ - I'm a big fan of Luke's. Some months ago, when I was surfing around the web looking for a sci fi home, I read a story of his here (about a guy having very philosophical hallucinations) and haven't left since. This one is military sci fi turned on its head. Starship Troopers on steroids. A psychedelic kaleidescope. I love that Luke doesn't explain everything or belabor points. He trusts the reader and throws us headfirst into his world. Great start, wonderful freedom of imagination. and on one level - stark realism."

"TRADE SECRETS - i confess to being a big luke jackson fan. "Towards a New Ontology" earlier this year made a big impression on me. the philosophical analysis was deep, but fully integrated into the story. my feeling was it was heavily intellectual and maybe not for everyone, but i loved it. i thought "Trade Secrets" was also a great read. hard core sci fi mis en scene (alien station in Earth orbit, nanofilament connection to the planet, androids). the choices faced and made by the protagonist were intriguing. dark but with a nice touch of light humor. the one reservation i had was the 60s pop culture references, the use of hendrix music and, in particular, the extended use of octopus' garden, ringo's face, etc. i realize this can work on one level but it tended to break the spell for me. i'm just quibbling, though. A+."
