When we heard about the advance ticket sales for this gig we had a good feeling...

The 12 Bar last Saturday has got to be a real contender for the best gig we have ever done in this band!  It's always a good feeling when you know you're going to have a capacity crowd and the punters have paid some of their hard-earned cash to see you.  It got my nerves jangling and that added a little extra spice to proceedings.

The venue is a great place.  Hats off to Dave who has done a superb job at this place.  Everything you need in a venue of this size.  We were looked after consumately by all involved as has become the norm when we deal with this guy.  Thanks again to the man.

The room was rammed from front to back with sweaty bodies by the time we went on and we had a special set lined up.  We opened with This Is A Call which we've never done before and it just set the tempo for the night.  The atmosphere was electric, we just tore into everything and everyone sang along to every word and jumped around like loons!  Brilliant!

The sweat was just pouring off us by All My Life (second song) and we were all completely drained by the end due to sheer exertion and dehydration!  We rocked right to the last though and closed with The Pretender which finished the set off perfectly.  We learnt afterwards that instead of turning the air-conditioning unit above the stage to cold it was turned on to maximum temperature by accident!  It was set to 33C!  We reckon it was Dave and that it was no accident...

Thanks to everyone who came along on the night.  We had people travel from Oxford, Briistol, Cardiff, Telford and even Bradford and Leeds! (does it count if they travelled with us in the van?).  We couldn't have asked for a better start to 2008.  The next gig at the 12 Bar is already in the diary and it's Saturday 11th October.  Can't wait!
