Current mood:  sad
Once again, Comic-Con has come and gone... :-(

I had another great time this year. So here  in recap as well as I can remember is my Con experience.

Monday- Rachel and I checked into the hotel this morning. She went to pick up Moriah at the airport. Once they got back to the room, we chilled.   Later that night we just chilled in the room doing nothing productive by watching TV.

Tuesday- Went swimming in the Hyatt pool for far too long. Lounged about in the sun working on the tan that doesn't need work :-P! Tuesday night, Rion arrived from teh OC and much rejoicing was had!  Another night of lounging about doing nothing in the hotel room.

Wednesday- Wednesday was Set Up and Preview Night. we went and helped Brendan set up the SDSWS booth. (Temporary set up!) Then after that was finished, I wandered around the floor and watched as people set up the booths. Once Preview Night kicked off, I ran around like a chicken with its head cut off and grabbed as much swag as possible, see below picture :-D! After Preview Night was done, we all headed over to FanForce dinner in Seaport Village. Awesome food this year as I did not order the Cheese of Doom unintentionally. I took a ridiculous amount of photos as Jeremy was kind enough to let me borrow his uber bad ass camera for the duration of Con.

Thursday- Con officially opens to the public! I costumed for the first portion of the day. Posing for a buttload of photos with Steve. About 1pm, I ran back to the Hyatt to change out of costume. I grabbed the camera with the INTENT of meeting up with Glitch and crew and take photos as they posed for them, but as the reception at Con was hideous I wasn's able to get in touch with them. So instead I went around and took photos of all the cool expensive shit that I couldn't afford and other costumer's.

Friday- Friday was a crazy hectic day in terms of panels, and meeting people. I started the morning by getting into costume early and heading off to get into line for Hall H. That was my first mistake as it was hotter than shit. Secondly, sitting for extended periods in that costume is not particularly comfortable, although it could be worse. First panel of the day was the WB panel. I was primarily there for the Superman portion with Bryan Singer. Bryan came out and shared with the audience a hilarious blooper reel from SR. He fielded a few questions of from the audience. Then he brought out suprise guest Richard Donner! Everyone was shocked and it was a great treat. He showed us some footage from the upcoming Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut! After the panel was over Bryan and I headed over to the Superman Through the Ages Panel. We got relatively good seats. The guests on that panel included: Noel Neil, Sam Huntington, Jack Larson, and Richard Donner. The talked mostly about the Donner Cut and showed a little bit more footage. It was awesome, and I am looking forward to it alot. Immediately afterward, Bryan and I headed off to the Bluetights.net meet-up. We located Justin first, then we met Zorex, Ganscos and Motown_Marvel. We converesed for a bit, posed for a few group photos.  At this point I headed back to the Hyatt to change out of costume and shower. I got dressed into my nice Hawaian shirt in preperation for the 50st dinner later that night, since I wouldn't have time to go back to the room after the Snakes on A Plane panel. I then made my way back to Hall H for the Star Wars Spectacular, where it was announced that the 501st is gonna be marching in the Rose Parade next year! Afterwards was the S.O.A.P. panel with Samuel Mutha Fuckin Jackson! After the panel let out I headed off in search of Erin, whom I told I would meet afterwards to go to the 501st dinner with her and Andrew. We headed off towards their hotel room. As she got changed, I helped Andrew iron his clothes and got 10 bucks out of it...w00t! Dinner was awesome and delicious. A little expensive but the environment was awesome.

Saturday- Saturday was not quite AS hectic, since I was mostly in Hall H for the day. First thing in the morning was the 501st group photo. I got up rather early since I didn't want to miss it, and headed to the back of the Convention Hall. I got there and a few troopers were milling about, waiting for everyone to get there. I didn't recognize anyone, so I sat down and waited for people to get there. Once everyone was there, we took the photo, and during the shoot, one of the guys proposed to his GF  and she accepted, so congrats to them. After the photo I headed off to the hotel to get changed and head as fast as I could over to Hall H for the first panel of the day (300). I knew there was no way I could get to the Hall before the presentation started, so I took a pedicab and got there only 5 mins after it had started. I met up with Andrew and Erin and Brandon half way through that panel. There were so many good panels in Hall H, that I am just gonna run through real quick with what we saw, wanna know more, send em a message. We saw: 300 trailer, PofC2 behinds the scenes, PofC3 Trailer, Spiderman 3 Trailer, Kevin Smith, preview of Extended Narnia DVD, Ghost Rider trailer. Long day of panels but damn we saw some cool shit. Later in the evening a group of us went and saw Clerks 2 which was hilarious! Once we got back to the hotel, we all packed our bags as we had to check out in the morning.

Sunday-  We had all packed the night before, so now it was a matter of loading up the cars. We went down and took car of checkout. I had a wad of cash that equaled 1500 dollars, and damn did I feel cool..lol! Oncewe had checked out we headed back over to the Con. I ran around again and grabbed more swag. Rion wanted to head out around 1pm to miss traffic. So I said my good byes and we headed out. Damn was that car packed full of shit. All in all another great con experience.

I had a great time meeting new people, and getting to know other people better.

Pros:

It was Con
Hanging out with a bunch of people
