Monday was the hardest day by far. It was the day I said farewell to my hometown and to most of my family. I woke up a lot later than I had anticipated and received a phone call from my oldest neice. She and her sister stopped by to see me and I got a chance to get some photos before taking the next truck out of town. The trip down to Minneapolis was fairly quick. We went to my friend's place and got ready to head over to my cousin's place downtown. Once we arrived and got the tour of her place we were headed down to the south side of the city. Chatterbox was our destination. This place was retro in the 80's sense. There were Atari 2600's set up with a grip of games. The food was really good. There were huge sandwiches and incredible Bloody Mary's. Unfortunately we ended up sitting right next to the karaoke setup. A kid who was about 10 sang "I'm A Believer" by the Monkees and "In The End" by Linkin Park. Cute, huh? Anyway, we went to another place called Nye's. On one end it was a jazz club and on the other one it was an oldster's polka karaoke piano bar. Interesting. We went back to my friend's place and ended up going to bed at 1:30 after scheduling the shuttle to come pick me up at 4:20. Sleep.
