Aoi is an experiment beat maker from Cairns. He spent some time in Brisbane, but now resides in sunny Melbourne. Sitting somewhere between
the New York sound of the def jux label and the psychedelic bangers of LA artists like Madlib (stones throw), Aoi is a beat nerd. The live sets I've seen are technical and creative. not unlike some of the more inspired DJ sets I've witnessed. This guy really needs to collaberate with some of his favourite US rappers to make some original tracks. Peep at the spotwelders re-mixtape and you'll agree that this guy should have beats on the next ghostface album.
