This morning my mom told me that after she met my dad and they got their first apartment together, he went out on a date with another girl. My mom willingly went to stay with her friend that night.

Uhhhhhhh. What?! You were cool with that, Mom?

...You proposed that idea to Mom, Dad?

And no, they didn’t swing. I asked.

On a different note: B.A.R.C. Animal Shelter wrote me an e-mail today saying they are trying to raise money to build a new shelter. So, yay, Diamonds in the Fluff started at just the right time! Made me really happy.

Did anyone else read about the enormous python who ate the family dog in Australia? Worst story ever. And worst, most uneccessary, most gruesome AP news photo post ever. Just bad all around. Not even sure why I’m even mentioning it to you. I could spare those who do not know of this story and not remind those who do. Why don’t I just backpedal my way out of these last few sentences altogether? Don’t move to those python parts.
