With so many rap artist screamin about their hood, where their from and how they was brought up, it made me think about the families still in the hood struggling when the same rappers are out renting cars and jewelery showing the rest of the world what they have now.

50 Cent is holding some festivities for Family Day in his hood. Its unfortunate that the only thing the media pays attention to is "possible violence that may take place" Nevermind the fact that hes bussing children to Six Flags and giving some a limited opportunity to enjoy themselves "outside" of the hood. It reminded me of all that is contributed by artists that goes unnoticed because shootings and controversy is suppose to be what we love to hear so much about.

If negativity is going to constantly surround a rapper- even when they are making positive contributions, how long do you think they will give?

50 Cent's G Unity Queens Community Garden.

Iced T with Save The Music Fund

David Banner efforts with helping the victims and survivors of Hurricane Katrina.

Snoop Dogg created a football youth league he is a coach on and off the field.

Lil Wayne and Baby donate turkeys to families in New Orleans every holiday season.
ves during the National Back To School Drive.

Akon - Music -
Akon established Konfidence Foundation which helps children in Africa.

Shout out to the artists that I didn't mention that did contribute some good in this world. The people that you helped could feel the difference you've made even when the world doesn't want to.
