The first half of this post is hype from our current one sheet, the second half is real writing.

Pist N Broke is the latest release by Dallas based greaser punks Spector 45. It was recorded at one of North Texas finest studios, January Sound, in June 2008 and produced by Brian Nesbitt. You may find this effort to be leaner, meaner, faster and harder than ever, but the original band mission still remains intact: to capture the pure energy of 50’s Rock n Roll and authentic seventies punk and kick it out for today’s audience.
Known best for live performance, the band has been nominated twice for Dallas Observer music awards and broadcast live from the Lakewood Theater on the HD.Net Trues Music series. They have performed over 400 shows in 13 states, received airplay from New York to LA and have been mentioned in articles as far away as London and Long Beach CA. They have shared the stage with acts as diverse as The Misfits to the Violent Femmes and with local heroes The Old 97’s and the Reverend Horton Heat. This is the bands fourth effort since forming in 2003, done without management, label or booking agent support. Perhaps this will change with the current product.
Meanwhile
it seems everybody's jumping on Valentines Day this year to push their love for something, so we did too... We recorded this new song 'I Love You' the other day (2/ 5/ 09) at January Sound with our producer Brian Nesbitt. The idea is to throw it out there to see where it lands by making it available to download for free on our myspace and probably a few other outlets. Like here at Lastfm We seem to have captured 100% of the raw passion spontaneity, live sound that we get in Spector 45 so we're pretty happy with it.
Do yourself a favor by downloading it or sending it to somebody you like, that's why it exists. You'll also be doing us a favor by spreading it around or shouting out request for it at our shows. thanks!
