Hey Guys, I don't know about you, but I have discovered some amazingly, new, fresh artsists on MySpace. One of the first artists I discovered was a Bass player called Lonnie Plaxico. I had never heard of him before, just like I had probably never been heard of, by him and many others. When I listened to his music and checked out who he had played with and recorded with, I was astounded to see that I knew many of the musicians.

Why am I blogging this? I would love to share the gifts that I have discovered here on MySpace with the people of South Africa and I would love to expose the talents of South Africa to the rest of the world.

How does one do this? Well firstly , one needs to find out who would love to come to South Africa to share their music with us. Then we need to find out which South African artists would love to travel abroad as well.

Why South Africa? Firstly, we have been under the Nationalist Governments rule for 40 years up until 1994, when Mandela, was released, so we have been deprived of International artists for a long time because any THINKING person would NOT visit this Nation because of what the Apartheid laws did to the people of this Nation.

Secondly it is 2007 and we are preparing for the International Soccer World Cup in 2010 - it is the prime opportune moment for you as an artist to be heard in South Africa. The eyes of the World is focussed on South Africa at the moment.

Thirdly it is the place to be because of the world renowned Jazz Festival previously called the North Sea Jazz Festival, more recently called The Cape Town International Jazz Festival, which happens annually in Cape Town.

Lastly, Cape Town is one of the most beautiful Cities in the world. If you don't believe me - then ask anyone who has visited here.

So, let me know if you would be keen to visit? I am not a Promoter but I would be willing to assist with setting up of gigs, concerts, tours and accomodation and in return we can work on a reciprocal tour of Cape Town and South African artists to your shores, with you assisting on that end.

Let's start synergising and collaborating together guys and we can create a WIN/WIN situation for all involved. Artsists, Managers, Promoters, Restaurant and Club Owners and even Pastors and Churches in the case of Gospel artists.

TALK TO ME!!!!!!

Love

Glenn.

This has been my prayer since you posted this blog a couple of years ago.  I'm working hard to make that happen (i.e. airfare, lodging, etc.).  I know that God will answer my prayer, and look forward to rejoicing with you!
