The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) came up with an interesting fact from a recent study: almost 10 million Australians listen to community radio while only about 107,000 people are financial supporters. SERIOUSLY??

Keep that in mind as I tell you that 2SER is currently halfway through our annual Radiothon. It's the one time of the year where we ask our listeners and the general community to get behind the station by becoming a new or renewing subscriber. 2SER relies on financial contributions from listeners and members of the community to continue to provide more interesting and better sounding radio, and I think community radio is worth supporting, especially in a town like Sydney.

If you want to see us continue providing a real alternative with diverse sounds and socially conscious talks programs, we need you to participate during Radiothon by becoming a new or renewing member. It only costs $66 a year (the same as buying 3 cds!) or $33 concession and the benefits of being a member runs year round with access to discounts, on-air giveaways and of course there's the awesome Radiothon prize draw.

Plus if you have a band, or manage a band or are any kind of creative professional, we also have artist subscriptions and in return you get a week-long on air spotlight, discounts on campaigns and a spot on our designated artist webpage. All artists that subscribe during Radiothon go in the major prize draw, plus you have your own special Artist Subscriber draw.
