Current mood: adventurous Category: Art and Photography
I've been trying my best to let friends, family and associates know about my decision to move to Thailand/SE Asia to persue a teaching career in addition to an amazing opportunity to take photos in a country that is full of life and adventure...
Almost everyday this summer I have walked around Greenlake (seattle), contemplating and reflecting upon the many great experiences I have had in this city, thinking about good times spent with friends and just enjoying the fantastic weather we have been having.
Although life here is great, photography gigs are steady and the nightlife scene is booming, i've found myself in a bit of a rut ever since graduating from WWU w/my bachelors... I think that when we get too comfortable with our lives they become slightly boring, the fire inside us isn't as bright and we tend to forget what life is about i.e. finding happiness, excitement, passion, going on adventures, enjoying the journey!
This is where I have been the past few months and it has been the driving force behind my decision to move to Asia, become a certified TEFL teacher and explore the vast country of Thailand (the first stop on my SE Asian tour). I am extremely dedicated and passionate about photography so have no doubt that I will continue to persue work with portraits, weddings, events and landscape images...
Originally, I never thought something like this would be possible but I think inside we all have the ability to venture out of our "comfort zone" and do something amazing...
Having confidence in yourself that you can do/be whatever you want is the first step in achieving your dreams/goals/destiny/corny?
