Why Hello Everyone, I decided it was about time to update our tour blog again. Internet has been few and far between but I hope I can remember enough to make this accurate. Its been quite the drunk fest after about every show. It seems the only thing to really do on tour is drive, play, drink excessively and sleep. Anyways after our day of rest at Tom Friendly's we headed to our second show at the other Jerry's Bait Shop in Lee's Summit, MO. Once again it was a real cool bar and definitely a bigger show then the previous night. We played with our buddy Geoff Koch again. You should totally check him on myspace his stuff is absolutely wonderful. We also played with a real cool local band called My Only Danger. Now I must admit Kansas City peeps sure know how to party. These two shows were Sunday and Monday and they were rowdy as all hell. Everyone was getting down and the night ended in a complete drunken fiasco. We lost Jordy so we went to a strip club where we thought he was. He wasn't but a nice cop let me go inside for free and look for him. So if you ever want to see free titties just tell the club you need to peek inside for a friend. It works. Rob ends up passing out face down in the parking lot of the strip joint until the once nice cop kicks us out and we head back to the venue where we find Jordy waiting for us the whole time.
Tuesday morning we get showers at our friend Tara's house and go out for a fabulous mexican lunch at La Feunte's. Eating mexican after drinking a thousand beers and riding in a van for 11 hrs is not smart. You can imagine. We head to a WalMart buy some needed things, I found a great 5 finger discount on some sunglasses and we got on the road to Colorado. We had the day off just to drive and once again the van turned into a traveling bar. We had a hard time finding a place to crash but finally did behind a gas station.
Wednesday we head to our show in Centennial, CO at LifeSpot. We had a ton of time to kill before the show so we found a nice little sports bar and drank soem happy hour Killians. The show was fun, all the bands were metal-core which is always fun for us to try to win over a crowd. It went well... good times... free pizza. Off on the road again and sleeping in another find rest area establishment.
Thursday we head to Vegas for another night off. We decided it was time to splurge on a hotel room and picked up a cheap room at the Stratosphere for only $46. WOOT WOOT!!! I myself was sober the first couple hours we were in Vegas so I made it a point to get completely annihilated. I don't remember much of the night, your typical night in Sin City going from casino to casino drinking as much as you can possibly handle. If you didn't know Vegas gives you free alcohol and this can be a horrible thing if you happen to play in a band called Farwell. So yea it was horrible. I turned into a drunk idiot, Andrew dived over a hedgerow of trees and face planted into concrete. Who knows what else happened I really don't remember ask one of the other dudes they were far less drunk then me.
We wake early to make check out and after a wonderful much needed shower we get to hang out in Vegas all day until our show at 10 p.m. We decided to try our luck back in the casinos only for Andrew and I to lose more money. FUCK VEGAS! Seriously that town is the devil. The heat was insane and we spent the entire afternoon sweating our balls off in the parking lot of the DiveBar. The DiveBar was exactly what it said... a dive bar. It was about 3 miles from the strip and wasn't exactly the most popular of places to drink in Vegas. The show was fun nonetheless. We were all dragging ass from having no sleep and being in the blistering sun all day. The only girl that bought a CD ended up getting punched in the face and all craziness went down. Vegas is not cool in our eyes. That place is just completely bizarre. Anyways we get on the road once again and head for Cali.
We arrive to Kerman, CA the next afternoon around 3ish at a little venue called The Hut. The show was being thrown by a bunch of kids and they treated us very well. We got pizza and an endless supply of water before the show which was much needed because once again it was unbearably hot. We played for about 15 kids but they seemed to really dig what we were doing. The kids were super rad and took us out to pizza once again and then to an after party. The after party was basically the entire show and was a grand time. Rob got wasted and was running around the street with his shirt off and mooning people. Always a plus in my eyes. We stayed up way to late and slept on the side of the street in the van.
Next morning we had to get on the road to Santa Monica. We had pulled into a BK to clean our dirty bodies and they were nice enough to shove a huge screw in our van tire. Obstacle number one of the day. We got a plug and Andrews wonderful mechanic skills came into play. Back on the road we went. It was once again extremely hot and we were climbing the hill that apparently has claimed more radiators then any hill in america. Needless to say our van over heats and we had to pull over at a water stop to watch radiator fluid pour from our van. YAYYY!!! This is fun. We wait for the van to cool down fill it with water and head a little farther. We had to stop a coupe more times to fill with water but it seems to be doing fine now. We arrive at 14 Below to play an amazing 20 minute set on an all acoustic show in front of 4 people. It was fun we sold a CD woot woot. We headed to Santa Monica Pier because Andrew had promised me a ride on the big ferris wheel months in advance. We hung out in the van for a minute and had some drinks before we walked to the beach and pier to find everything closed. So we stopped in the arcade and I beat Robert's ass in air hockey. We hung around the headed to our buddies in Maryz Eyez they are like our home away from home in Cali. Sleep and showers. A much needed thing.
Well I'm sorry that this isn't to entertaining. We have pics and vids coming soon. we are in Hollywood right now and we have a couple days to just hang with peeps before we start out in pomona for the warped tour.
Hope all is well back home and that we will see some familiar faces at warped tour.
IM TIRED!!!!
