THE BOY BATHING
The Boy Bathing, named after one of Aesop's Fables, stands for a youthful
non-conformity opposed to a world where corruption, false-hope and
boredom
seem inevitable. The title of their upcoming CD is A Fire to Make
Preparations and their music is like a flame that can warm, or, burn you
when you sit near its glow even leaving you cold when you walk away.
These
dualities go further into the personality of songwriter David Hurwitz who
has been called both smart and stupid in the same sentence and whose
lyrics can make you laugh and cry in the same verse. The Boy Bathing is
happy to draw comparisons to some of their new and old influences from
Ani
DiFranco and Bright Eyes to Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen.

DRINK UP BUTTERCUP
"Sometimes when people use words like quirky or eclectic it doesn't always connote a positive thing. However as I think of these words to describe what these lo-fi demos sound like to me, I say it in only the most positive manner. This is the sound of a young band with an ambitious musical vision."
"Drink Up remind me of Love You era Beach Boys and early Frank Zappa. Drink Up!"
-Doug Wallen from the Philly Weekly
If you havent heard this guys yet…..Is your heart beating?..You might want to check your pulse. These guys are one of a kind. Doug could have said it better as comparing these guys to Beach Boys and Frank Zappa.
