Kitty Whip recently changed their rhythm section, as the Hi-Tyde tandem of Dale Nitti and Ted Depto replaced drummer Christi and bassist Kimi respectively. I saw the new mach Kitty Whip in action last month at Roadhouse On 747 near Mount Union. Armed with an inflatable doll and other adornments, singer/guitarist Ruschelle, lead guitarist Dawn and the new “kitties” whipped the Roadhouse
audience into party gear with a hard-hitting mixture of sounds. While
there were a few ‘chick-rock’ anthems from Pink, Katy Perry, Joan Jett
and the Eurythmics scattered in the mix, Kitty Whip
broke out the heavier artillery as the evening progressed; doing
numbers from Godsmack, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Rage Against the
Machine, System of a Down, and even renditions of AC/DC’s “Big Balls”
and Jackyl’s “She Loves My [rooster]!”
