Sometime last year, Katy Perry's song "I Kissed a Girl" topped the charts.  This being, ostensibly, a Christian nation, all of us Evangelicals rose to our feet and declared, "This song is an abomi--oh--never mind!" Ugh, abomination fatigue!  I think I've had it since "The Last Temptation of Christ" hit the theaters, and I was ten at the time.(I actually watched it when I was 20. If you're wondering, it is even more perverse than you are imagining that it is, I'm serious.)

Well, let's take a break from offending the Evangelicals, shall we?  Check out this music video* that was realeased in Italy.  HooooBoy! This would NOT fly in the U.S. ! Wowza! I don't know how he got away with it in Europe, honestly.  Wow!  You can't say that!!!!

*Some scenes may be too creepy/need too much explaining for younger viewers.

I'm not brave enough to watch the video, but I have to say that "I kissed a girl" makes me want to rage! My daughters heard it while eating lunch in a restaurant in Kerala, India, and kept singing it throughout the day. I felt like my family was violated.  I often complain to management in cases like that--I should have there, too.
I also remember doing step aerobics at a Christian college. The music was selected more for the beat than for the content, and I had to dance to "Come to my Window" which I know was written about lesbian relationship. Complained to the teacher, and got a shrug.

This one is better.  It has the audacity to suggest that a homosexual can change and be happier because of it (albeit from an essentially secular perspective).   It's awfully catchy---I should have put a warning about THAT.  The video does not contain nudity or pornography, but some unsavory visual allusions to the character's former lifestyle. (and you have to look at it to read the subtitles)
I'm with you on IKAG.  I hate songs like that that are vile, rebellious and anti-Christ,  that you TOTALLY pick up all the lyrics to when you're out shopping!
