So, as you know, I have currently run off to live in Illinois.
I've only been talking about it for 3 years so it's about damn time.
Yes, I'm Scared - But, Yes, I think I can make it, Otherwise I'd still be in that crap hole, Buffalo
As of now, I am happy and loving it here - enjoying the change of scenery very much. I found a great apartment, I have a car, I already know my way around, and I started work today. Tomorrow I start my first day at the new 'Shack as a key holder. For those of you who don't get the 'Shack reference, It's not the love shack.. with the rusted tin roof... It's Radioshack. And I've been there for 1 year and 11 months to the date. :D
Hey, They Pay Good.
I have to say, three things I'm missing in Buffalo right now are the 3 F's (No the "F*** Word" is not one of them (that's my fav. word for those who didn't know, I have a mouth like a sailor.. or trucker.. whichever..)):
* Family
* Friends
* Food
I get over 1 and 2 easy though, when I miss 'em I hop online to chat or give them a
call.
As for food, the only one I REALLY miss is REAL souvlaki. Only greek place here's idea of Souvlaki is a skewer of chicken over buttered and basil'd wheat rice. I love mine on a bed of lettuce, green pepper, and feta and smothered in greek dressing. mmmmmm.
No, I didn't give up on school. I'm the first blood related woman in my family to go to college so I'm sure as hell getting out of there with a degree. I start again in January and I'm continuing as a Biology Student.
Still deciding what to do, I'm leaning towards being a Clinical Laboratory Tech. or a Radiologist. Either way, I know I want to continue to study to become a Medical Researcher or Physician.
I'm loving finally getting to see Pat every day. I'd have to say he's probably my Bestest friend after Cindy/Pat Mann/Alyssa. (they're tied).
