Hi

I have for quite a while defined myself as an atheist . The term seemed to best fit the way I see things .It was never a comfortable fit , more like a one size fits all fit .People as fanatical with hats as I will get that one .

I recently came across a term that fit my mode of thought far better.Apatheism .

"An apatheist is someone who is not interested in accepting or denying any claims that God, or any other supernatural being, exists or does not exist. In other words, an apatheist is someone who considers the question of the existence of God as neither meaningful nor relevant to human affairs."

That is exactly my position . People always ask me if I'm an atheist . I don't really understand the question . What exactly am I supposed to be rejecting?

Their god?The Abrahamic god?If that is the case then it makes every Muslim , jew and Christian an atheist in respect to the other Abrahamic religions. I don't care enough to look for , denounce and debunk every stupid human conception of divinity there ever was (As they are all equal in my opinion). Frankly that would take more time than I biologically have left on earth. Hence I do not consider myself an atheist. I don't think about it , i don't actively discuss it because to me discussing divinty in anyway other than a rational display of evidence is irrelevant . As irrelevant as discussing the number of rings in a unicorn's horn . Both are irrelevant for exactly the same reason in order to discuss something one must first prove it's existence . To Talk about god in any way short of a rational argument from evidence is redundant engage in it if you wish but I for one chose to discuss the factual.
