                                    Sue My Generation
I'm going to sue my generation- I'm going to see you all in court.
I've got to do something to try to stop them before they all end up running the world.
I tried talking to their parents, teachers and the government, too,
but no one was that interested so what else could I do?
Well, I've spoken to a lawyer and she thinks I've got a case-
We'll be sending out the subpoena's now any one of these days.
We'll be suing them for damages but more importantly
I'm hoping to have them all locked up and throw away the key;
Because they're stupid and they're lazy and they haven't got a clue,
if they get in charge there's no telling the damage that they'll do.
                                         Chorus
I don't think they'll even notice, I don't think they'll even care,
but I can't sleep at night about how they're so unaware.
Well, the paperwork's a nightmare, yeah, it's a real headache
but when you're trying to save the world that's the price you've gotta' pay.
It's really not their fault you see, it really can't be helped
because they've been medicated, comodified and marketed to as well.
They don't have strong opinions and they can't make up their minds
their idea of an argument is to start to whine.
And sometimes I do feel bad about it,
but a settlement will make that pain go away.
And I have to admit that they deserve it.
I'll be laughing all the way to the bank...
So join up with me now or your name's going on the list.
We'll be filing it class action and sending it to the Feds.
There's not a jury in this country that wouldn't sympathize,
and if they acquit then we'll have them all institutionalized.
                                 Chorus

This is a true story. A lawyer friend of mine (who shall remain nameless to protect the innocent) was going over some contract stuff with me and told me that although she didn't mind doing that kind of thing, her real specialty was litigating. She said if I ever wanted to sue anyone that I should call. I told her "Of course there are people I want to sue..."
I wrote this in about 15 minutes the next day and people keep asking me to play it. Either they think it's funny or the agree with my intention. I don't know which, but that's the story behind this one...

"Either they think it's funny or the agree with my intention."

Regardless, its a damn fine song.
