Here's a touching little piece from the fine people of
ClevelandZine.comThe Hot Rails, ladies and gentleman, were something to be proud of.
They were like the ultimate stoner rock band; fusing together a meld of Black Sabbath, the Misfits and Kiss, all up into a little ball from
Cleveland.
Janssen, as always was beefing up the audience with tales about his songs, which had tittles and stories behind them, like the song about
2:30 AM (last call), called "The Bitchin' Hour."
This was one of the greatest shows I have seen in
Cleveland due to its straight forwardness with regard to writing rock songs, there was simple, yet hilarious and pertinent satire in Janssen's lyrics that were what they were and did not try to be anything else.
Janssen's band is some younger kids who really rocked the pants off of this chanting and screaming crowd of about 100. Janssen performed brilliantly and with a fun and aggressive stage presence and all from a wheel chair, which made the show all the more '
Cleveland.'- "This was all in all a great night in
Cleveland, Rock and Roll history..
If you like hitting on girls that are out of your league and drinking until you piss yourself, The Hot Rails are most certainly the band for you."
AMEN!
