"New" Song ft. Buzz Shearman of Moxy Released 26 Years After His Death Proves You Can't Stop the Music

Toronto, ON - February 22, 2009 -- Buzz Shearman was the voice and defining sound of Canadian rock band Moxy from 1975 to 1983 when he died tragically in a motorcycle accident just north of Toronto on June 16, 1983 at the age of 33. Now, in a surprising twist of fate, Buzz's voice is back loud and clear in a newly found and previously unreleased track called "You Can't Stop the Music in Me". Co-written with bandmate Billy Wade (who passed away in 2001 from cancer), and recorded in 1981 with his Moxy bandmates, this proves that Buzz's legend truly does live on!

This single will be released to radio on Buzz Shearman's birthday, March 8, 2009, and will be sold through online retailers such as iTunes, Napster, PureTracks, Nokia, Amazon and others. There will also be a limited edition hard copy CD available. A retrospective DVD will be released later this year covering the early years of Moxy, including rare photos and video clips, interviews with the surviving members of Moxy, Gil Moore of Triumph, Al Joynes of Q107, Russ Graham of Killer Dwarfs and others chronicles Moxy's rise to fame.
