I've officially lost 50 pounds, yay.  Haven't really been able to do much in the way of exercise, but my eating habits are quite different from what they were a year or more ago.  It's really not that I'm eating healthier, it's that I'm eating less.  It started six or seven months ago as a side effect to a pain medication that I'm no longer on.  I would wake up every day feeling sick and I would hardly eat anything because of that.  I switched to a new medication that didn't upset my stomach, and since then I just haven't eaten as much as I used to.  I'm under 300lbs for the first time in at least 3 years, so that's way cool.

I'm still fighting the government machine, particularly the social security and state disability offices.  I don't comprehend how some people I've seen can cheat the bejeezus out of the system, but when you actually have medical problems and are having hard times it's worse than pulling teeth trying to get responses and help from those agencies.  Not that I'm bitter (yeah, right).

In the past few days I've seen two separate white-trash beastly looking women beat the shit out of their little kids at walmart.  Two different visits, two different 'families' (I use that word loosely).  Neither one of the kids was really doing anything wrong, the idiot moms just smacked them around because they were frustrated with them.  One kid actually screamed "Mommy, you're hurting me!"  Loud enough that everyone at all the other checkout lanes could hear her.  I was spanked when I was a kid but holy crap, nothing like what I saw this week.  I've said this before and so have many others, but there should be a test for all prospective parents.  You fail, and you get sterilized (male or female) so that a child doesn't have to suffer due to your sheer ignorance and stupidity.  Again, not that I'm bitter...but really, where's a cop when you need one?

So, just to recap, I've lost weight, my back still sucks, the government aid agencies still suck, and there's a lot of ugly, nasty, beastly white trash women in Lafayette that are incapable of being parents.

Good for you Dan! That's awesome. I know what you mean about the white trash...and a lot of them flock to Wal-Mart on Sat. for some odd reason. I agree with the sterilization. If you can't raise one child...you are certainly not going to be able to handle 2 or 3 or 4 or 5. It makes you wonder. It's almost like you have to be a woman and have a bunch of children to get goverment money. WTF?

Congrats on the 50 lb loss! That's awesome! I'm sorry to hear things are still not going well with the government....but then again, when do things go well with the government?

Agree with the sterilization concept... but I don't want to have to take the test, can I just voluntarily sign up for it?

I keep seeing Donia around and she insists we all get together soon. Are you up for a reunion anytime in the future? I still need to see your turtles.

Good day.

No, no, no.

Forced sterilization has been tried before in Indiana in the early twentieth century. Then, they were sterilizing the mentally handicapped to avoid passing down their traits. Indiana began its own eugenics program, which you are now suggesting we resurrect, even before the Nazis began theirs.

Our State Legislature recently issued an apology for this inhuman and evil practice.

That Mommy hurt her kid for no good reason. That's bad.

You're telling the kid he shouldn't even exist. That's worse.
