The following is from
Disco Demolition Records:
We are pleased to announce the release of two new remixes of Codebreaker & Kathy Diamond's critically acclaimed single, "Fire"
Recruiting the right artists to handle a commanding mid-tempo, modern funk powered single like "Fire" takes some serious thought.
Funky, sophisticated, modern, classic, vibrant, sensual....it then occurred all at once with crystal clear cognition, the genius of Detroit native/WARP recording artist Jimmy Edgar. Fame Magazine said it best, "Like a magical trip round the best 80s underground clubs… retro yet modern, dark yet
euphoric, sexy and sophisticated… like the finest electronic soul."
Put it this way, before Jimmy Edgar's "Fire" first graced our ears, the term "Bladerunner R&B" never existed.
To top it all off, we present a stunning music video to coincide.
Director Erik West, (whose keen eye has won Emmys the last 2 years in a
row now) brings us an absolutely fascinating adventure in tilt shift
technique.
Finally, the second remix comes by way of Tokyo's Liquid Pegasus.
A relative unknown, that should be known. His refreshingly tasteful, yet
unique far-out approach really grabbed our ears & prompted this
collaboration.
His modern, loose, funky yet retro sound is sure to provide full dance floor activation.
These remixes are now available for digital release on most outlets, itunes, amazon, juno, verizon, emusic etc..
warm nites n' dancing lites,
