THIS WAS A TOUGH ONE...IN MY RESEARCH, I FOUND THAT THIS DIVISION HAD THE MOST TALENT THROUGH THE YEARS. SOME REALLY GREAT FIGHTERS DID NOT MAKE MY LIST. THIS IS THE REASON FOR MY EXTENDED "HONORABLE MENTION" LIST.

1.SUGAR RAY ROBINSON
2.MAVIN HAGLER
3.ROY JONES JUNIOR
4.GERALD MCCLELLAN
5.TOMMY HEARNS
6.HARRY GREB
7.SUGAR RAY LEONARD
8.BERNARD HOPKINS
9.CARLOS MONZON
10.MICKEY WALKER

HONORABLE MENTIONS;

JAKE LAMOTTA
ROBERTO DURAN
DICK TIGER
JAMES TONEY
CARMINE BASILLIO
GENE FULLMER
MIKE MCCALLUM

MY LIST IS BASED ON TALENT OF THESE FIGHTERS IN THEIR PRIMES MATCHED AGAINST EACHOTHER AND THE REST OF THE ALL TIME MIDDLEWEIGHTS.

THE SKIN POPPERS

SUGAR RAY ROBINSONS THE ILLEST!!!

Sugar Ray Robinson is one of my all-time favorites. The man fought everyone and never ran from a challenge.

Your top 10 welterweight may have some even tougher choices. Another division that has been loaded historically.

i think ray lenord and hearns were better welterweights than middleweights i'd give their spots to lamotta and basillo and gerold mcclellan would have been the greatest if that fuck up shit never happend [he beat roy in the amitchures] got to find some room for julin jackson

NO WAY IN THE WORLD JULIAN JACKSON GETS ON THIS LIST , HE WAS DESTROYED BY G MAC NOT ONCE BUT 2 TIMES WHEN EVERYONE THOUGHT JACKSON WOULD OUTCLASS G MAC HE ALSO NEVER BEAT ANY OF THE TOP GUYS HE FOUGHT , MIKE MCCALLUM OBLITERATED HIM AND HE LOST TO QUINCY TAYLOR , VERNO PHILLIPS AND ANTHONY JONES THE ONLY GUY WORTH MENTIONING THAT HE DID BEAT WAS TERRY NORRIS AND THATS NOT SAYING MUCH AS NORRIS WAS A COULD HAVE SHOULD HAVE BUT NEVER WAS TYPE OF FIGHTER

Jackson was prety much out of his prime when he lost to taylor, philips, jones. He had been a pro 14-15 years by then .I don't think he's a top 10 just a mention.because I felt pound for pound he is one of the hardest punchers But I do agree that he was not on that level with gerold mcclellan .....

GOTTA KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A LIST OF ONLY THE ELITE FIGHTERS AT MIDDLEWEIGHT. I DONT FEEL JACKSON WAS ELITE. GOOD POINT ABOUT LEONARD AND HEARNS. THEY WERE BOTH BETTER AT WELTER. BUT THAT LIST IS STILL TO COME. BUT I FEEL THEY WERE BOTH ELITE MIDDLEWEIGHTS AS WELL....STAY TUNED---------HYDE

I wanted to comment on "The Hawk". He was a good MW but he can't be considered an ATG. Granted he had massive knock out power, unfortunately his chin wasn't up to par and this was exposed against guys like McClellan, McCallum and Taylor.

Jackson could also be outboxed by fighters with more skill but he always had a chance to change that with one punch. If you look up his fight with Herol Graham on Youtube.....you'll see what I mean.

but you think ray leonard is a top ten!!! he fought in one middleweight fight beside a few light middleweight and supermiddle and i don't think he won that one middleweight fight vs Hagler!!!!!!
