Ok, since I have finally crossed over and begun to eat bug, I need to decide my next step. Yesterday I decided to make a cricket habitat.  I figure that if I have enough of them I can experiment with insect entrees and side dishes. When I went searching for my started crickets, I could only find 4 males. Not a whole lot of lovin goin on with 4 male crickets. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this week so I can find some females.

My Cricket habitat is having trouble holing on. This is the 4th day and I still have not located any females. I put an apple slice in for food and a small dish of water soaked into tissue. The Crickets have revolted despite the very humane treatment and have eaten the weaker one of the four. Now there are three male Crickets. I freshened their water and added a lettuce leaf. Not the cheap iceberg lettuce either, but red leaf lettuce.
