21st Century Slave:
A new manifesto for Digital Warriors, Outlaw Technologists and Console Riders of the 21st Century to survive in a World Machine where sheeple are being totally brainwashed and enslaved by Corporatocracy's agenda and vicious propaganda.
Around half a century ago a primitive and promising silicon-form of intelligence, the artificial one, was born to be the guide of a new age. We called it Computer. And the world would never be the same again.
Electronic generated domains are the new frontiers. Cyberspace is the battlefield for the upcoming wars against the old and corrupted system that is naturally fading away. The System is collapsing. The System is obviously wrong. The only working System is the one we know as the computer generated one where we share our common interests and views: among the 0 and 1, among the stream of bit and bytes and an ocean of information that can't be controlled and where all languages, subcultures and lifestyles are merging together. In Cyberspace we are free. In Cyberspace we are the kings. In Cyberspace we are a global Central Processing Unit. No other path to survive: Master Technology.
With technology we'll be no more slaves of our Century. With Technology we'll be no more sheeple ruled by questionable, hypocritical and oppressive authority and its obsolete principles. Technology is the cure: It's the alternative. Technology is our terrific weapon and the network is our realm.
May the words of revolution spread unstoppable at light speed.
Free the energy. Free the information.
And then a day will come
For what you've done
For what it's gone
For every death we'll strike a bomb on Megacorps.

After the brilliant EP ‘Criminal Intents’, the complete new studio album from the digital warriors is now finally released. And unlike the implication of the album title, DOPE STARS INC. aren’t slaves of the technological world. They’re loud, warlike, angry and political. They use the medium of cybertech but combine it with the fury of punk. They combine flimmering sequencers with aggressive guitars; distorted vocals with persistently infectious melodies. And they arise out of the sordid darkness of modern cities to live on the edge of the abyss. Shimmering outlaws of the virtual reality who fight the system by using its own methods. For a long time now, their music has not only been influenced by the elements of cyberpunk, new metal, electro, industrial and rock. DOPE STARS INC. are above all the musically realised version of William Gibson’s ‘Neuromancer’, Neal Stephenson’s ‘Snow Crash’ and in terms of their sound, the further development of films such as ‘Bladerunner’. They show us the world how it is. Dirty, shimmering, full of neon glare and beautiful light. But between all the superficialities are concealed feeling, but above all furious, rebels who tear down the boundaries and defy all categorisation: and all the while still damn young, loud and sexy. The album also shouldn’t be without a few sensitive love songs. And just as SIGUE SIGUE SPUTNIK once celebrated ‘21st Century Boy’, DOPE STARS INC. really have become symbols of the new era. This is the sound of the new millennium.
The first edition of ‘21st Century Slave’ is released as a lavish 6-panelled digipak with an extensive booklet full of sombre illustrations which perfectly sets the visual scene for the story and which can be described without over-exaggeration as a work of art.
A collectors’ piece which no fan of DOPE STARS INC. should be without!

Fan fehlen darf!
Metropolis Records - Press ReleaseDope Stars Inc. – ‘21st Century Slave’
With lyrics inspired by Cyberpunk imagery and subculture, Dope Stars Inc. have been mixing industrial beats, acid synths and distorted sounds with a bratty rock’n’roll sound and attitude since their foundation in 2003. Their previous albums ://Neuromance and Gigahearts not only held chart positions in many European countries, but also were in the top five sellers at Metropolis Mail-order for the year in which they were released. With the new album, entitled 21st Century Slave, Dope Stars front man Victor Love and company continue to rail against massive industrialization, and corporate greed. With 21st Century Slave, Dope Stars Inc. have created a cohesive, thematic statement of their beliefs. The opening track “Omegadrones” brings to mind the writings of Phillip K. Dick and underground cyberpunk subculture with its Blade Runner inspired themes which perfectly sets the tone for the entire album. The tracks Criminal Intents and Morning Star are already storming dance floors worldwide, and give the listener only a taste of what Dope Stars Inc. have to offer with 21st Century Slave.
