A top US official has described the suicides of three detainees at the US base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as a "good PR move to draw attention".
I find this callous spin regarding the suicides at Guantanamo Bay to have all the marks of a prepared position to be taken up when some poor unfortunate managed finally to commit suicide.
However the obscene accusation of suicide as PR should not be allowed to distract from the fact that the Americans were responsible for ensuring the well being of the people being held in its custody...
The American are not fit people to detain anyone...
and it's past time for Guantanamo to be closed..
